At that time some patch work was done to the holes in the steps and RIOC Vice President of Operations Fernando Martinez stated:

We have ordered wood to repair the meditation steps. It is our plan to completely renovate the entire area, late this year or early 2012.

We shall see what the current plans for Meditation Steps are later today at the Operations Committee meeting.
