If you are coming to or leaving Roosevelt Island on Thursday night be aware that the Tram will be out of service ( second time this month ) from 10 PM until 6 AM Friday morning according to the following Roosevelt Island Tram advisory from RIOC:

EARLY SHUTDOWN
On Thursday, October 29th, the Tramway will be shutdown at
10:00 pm, and resume service on Friday, October 30th, at 06:00 am.
This schedule change is necessary in order to perform the track rope brake test.We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this schedule change.
Use the F subway train. No advisories from the MTA so far.
