Mr. Katz also announced that he would not be seeking another term as RIRA President or as a member of RIRA’s Common Council. Mr. Katz, who has served 4 terms as RIRA President, said that it was time to turn over leadership of RIRA to new people, new voices and new skill sets. Mr. Katz should be thanked for all the time and effort he has spent trying to make Roosevelt Island a better place to live. One need not agree with Mr. Katz on any particular issue to acknowledge that he has helped make Roosevelt Island a better place to live for the residents. I thank him.
