Spring has sprung and Roosevelt Island parents and their kids are ready to start using our local playgrounds. This afternoon, a Roosevelt Island Mom wrote:
Blackwell Toddler park closed.
Just thought I would share, since I went to the park and didnt know didnt see it written anywhere
The guys said the park would be closed today and also tomorrow.
I am sure this can help someone else plan their day properly!
I asked Roosevelt Island Operating Corp ( RIOC ) President Charlene Indelicato about the closed Blackwell Playground. Ms. Indelicato responded:
The fence around the Tot Lot constructed by Monadnock was loose. Workers were on the site today to repair the fence by adding more support the fence posts. The work will be completed by tomorrow.
This evening, there were parents and kids enjoying 
Blackwell Playground. Hopefully, tomorrow too and the rest of the spring and summer.
