The MTA reports that there will be no F Train subway service from Roosevelt Island to Manhattan this weekend.

According to the MTA:

F Coney Island-bound trains run via the M from Roosevelt Av to 47-50 Sts Weekends, 11:15 PM Fri to 5 AM Mon, until Oct 27

Trains run express from Roosevelt Av to Queens Plaza.

No Coney Island-bound F service at 21 St-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Av/63 St and 57 St.

How long will these Roosevelt Island F Train weekend subway service disruptions last? Maybe, it will be over by February 2015. During the October 22 meeting of Community Board 8’s Roosevelt Island/Transportation joint committee, CB 8 member Larry Parnes reported the MTA believes that F Train Roosevelt Island weekend subway disruptions may be over by February 2015. Mr. Parnes also noted that the MTA says an entrance to the F train Lexington Ave/63rd station may be open at third avenue/63rd street in the fall of 2015. Here’s what Mr. Parnes had to say.
