Earlier today, I asked Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC) President Susan Rosenthal:
Any update on when the tram inspection will be completed and normal two cabins service restored?
The original completion date was for end of November. Is that still the case?
A RIOC Spokesperson replied:
Please be aware that, on Saturday, December 3rd, the Tramway is scheduled to return to its regular service schedule, utilizing both Tram cabins.
Please note the last Red Bus shuttle from the Tram to Manhattan will be on Friday, December 2nd at 8 PM, and the last shuttle from Manhattan will be at 8:30 PM Friday.
Thank you.
As previously reported , Roosevelt Island Tram service has been reduced to a single cabin operating

at one time since November 7 causing long lines

due to inspections and maintenance

on both cabins and replacement of

cabin floors.
If this is what the #rooseveltisland tram is like with one car down. I can’t wait till #Cornelltech opens. pic.twitter.com/Qdw3I0OgAJ
