It’s that time again for a wonderful Roosevelt Island tradition – the lighting of the Holiday/Christmas Tree in front of Blackwell House tomorrow night, Friday December 2.

According to the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp ( RIOC ):

On Friday, December 2nd at 7PM, you are cordially invited to attend Roosevelt Island’s annual holiday season kickoff event, the Roosevelt Island Tree Lighting Ceremony. Join us at Blackwell Plaza (500 Main St.) for a free celebration of our close-knit community, featuring performances by the Main Street Theatre & Dance Alliance, the Beacon Program, and the 116th Street Band. Also, dont miss a visit from a very special guest! Make sure to bring your camera!.
