During the November 12, 2019 Task Force meeting, the new Cornell Tech Dean Greg Morrisett , who started in August 2019, introduced himself to the community. Dean Morrisett is a Roosevelt Island resident, living on campus with his wife Tania. Dean Morrisett is fitting in well as a Roosevelt Islander, using the Red Bus, eating at Nisi and marveling at his East River view. Also, his wife Tania, who he describes as the “fun person” in the family, is getting involved in the community as a Board Member of the Roosevelt Island Historical Society. Dean Morrissett says of Roosevelt Island:
… from a community standpoint, this place is pretty unique because of the care and concern from across this Island…. Roosevelt Island is a much better fit for me than downtown Manhattan.
Here’s video of Dean Morrisett introduction the Task Force.
