Fire trucks!!!!
About 7 fire trucks and 5 of our Rescue trucks are responding to something around Rivercross
and shares these photos.
A Rivercross resident reports:
FDNY briefly / “unofficially” told us it was an electrical duct fire on the exterior wall behind the Blue Wing elevators/Fire Staircases.
Very smoky outside but little smoke inside … Looking out the window, it seemed they were having a little trouble at first trying to extinguish the fire.
PSD had us on the 1st floor (floor above lobby), and maybe 2nd, 3rd & 4th floors evacuate our apartments. Lots of folks from higher floors also came down via stairs or elevator.
PSD Sgt Barry Hazelwood was very good hustling us out into the Blue Wing Lobby.
A few of our older neighbors, a few of our physically challenged neighbors were a little agitated but seemed OK.
