Great news to begin the weekend. Roosevelt Island residents Kat Radin and Alex Sassaris will be opening a Mexican Fusion restaurant in the former Jupioca space at 455 Main Street in the Riverwalk Commons.
The lease is signed and they are beginning the build out of the premises.
I spoke with the husband and wife team earlier today and learned that they are owners of the Pinks Cantina Taco Bar on the Lower East Side. Here’s the Pinks Cantina menu.
Kat and Alex love living here and are very excited to be opening their restaurant on Roosevelt Island. They expect to have about 14 indoor seats and some outdoor seats as well and plan to open by Labor Day. As we were talking this afternoon, a local Mom stopped to ask what was opening in the space. She was thrilled to learn of the new Mexican Fusion restaurant coming to Roosevelt Island.
