Are there any Roosevelt Island residents interested in kayaking on the East River this July 4 weekend? If that’s you, check out the Long Island City Boathouse, a short 20 minute walk from the Roosevelt Island Bridge or 5 minute ferry ride away at the Anable Basin Dock (4601 5th Street, LIC).

Friday July 4th – 10:30am to 2pm – Independence Day Easygoing River Trip
10:00 am – Show up time for volunteers
10:30 am – Show up time for guests
2:00 pm – Walk away time
We meet at LIC Boathouse at 4601 5th Street, Long Island City, NY 11429. Capacity is limited and seating is first come first served. Times include setup. Volunteers, please sign up here to let us know that you will be joining us on this trip! This is a moderately easy outing suitable for people with little or no paddling experience. All participants must be 18 years of age or over and able to swim. Actual time on the water will be about 2 hours.Friday July 4th – 2pm to 5pm Free Walkup Community Kayaking at Anable Basin
