Open Table is a ministry of the Church of the Good Shepherd made possible by Henrietta and Beatrice Ajaero for the residents of the Island shown in picture below with Verna Fitzpatrick.
Every first and second Sunday of the month we distribute prepared take away meals by Nneji at 10:30 am from the side entrance of Good Shepherd Church.
Many Roosevelt Island residents get a meal for themselves or one for a neighbor in their building which is exactly what we hoped for. Local neighbor and co-owner of Pain d’Avignon bakery supplies delicious bread and the active and committed support of community volunteers make it possible – we cannot thank them enough.”
