Fall for Arts 2026:Meet the Artists Behind the Murals
At this year’s Fall for Arts Festival on Roosevelt Island, artists transformed large panels into colorful works inspired by two themes: “Bridges & Connections” and “When I Dream.” Throughout the festival, we spoke with participating artists about the ideas behind their murals and what it was like to create art in a public, community setting. From personal stories and imagined worlds to reflections on connection, community, and the future, each artist brought a unique perspective to the festival’s themes. In the video below, hear directly from the artists about what inspired their work and what the experience of creating alongside other artists and the Roosevelt Island community meant to them.
