What’s going on with all the water at the subway station?

Video From Frank Farance According to the Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC)

Due to emergency water main work by D.E.P in front of the subway station, West Main street will be closed to vehicular traffic from the rear of 405 W. Main street to the Blackwell traffic circle. Further, the Red Bus will turn around at the Tram traffic circle and continue north. Pedestrians wishing to take the Red Bus north of the tram should board the bus on W. Main street in front of the Riverwalk Bar and Grill. PSD will be posted in front of the subway station directing Red Bus riders to the bus stop in front of the Riverwalk Bar and Grill. Subway access will not be affected. This closure will remain in effect until further notice. The reopening of the road will be announced in a future advisory.

UPDATE 8/4 9:30 AM – According to RIOC:

Traffic Restored on Main Street

Following a previous delay, Red bus and Q102 service is utilizing its normal route.

UPDATE 9 PM – According to RIOC:
