What appears to be a search and rescue or an anti-terrorism drill has been going on for the second day in a row. This film was taken from the eastern coast of Roosevelt Island at around 10:30pm on Monday, August 13th 2013.
On Sunday afternoon, I noticed two helicopters flying together circling back and forth over Roosevelt Island and Long Island City just skimming the Riverwalk building rooftops.
