In celebration of National Historic Marker Weekend, join the Roosevelt Island Historical Society, the Roosevelt Island Youth Center, and RIOC for the Roosevelt Island History Quest on Saturday, April 25 from 1:00–3:00 PM!
Learn about the island’s history through interactive presentations at key historical markers. Pick up your Passport, collect all six stamps, and return to the Visitor Center (across from the Tram) with a completed passport to claim your giveaway!

RI History Quest – Now Sunday, April 26th from 1-3pm

In celebration of National Historic Marker Weekend 2026, the Roosevelt Island Youth Center, in partnership with the Roosevelt Island Historical Society (RIHS), invites the community to take part in the Roosevelt Island History Quest on Sunday, April 26, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
This interactive, family-friendly event encourages participants to explore six of Roosevelt Island’s most notable historic sites while learning about the Island’s rich history. Attendees can pick up a “Roosevelt Island Passport” at any participating location and visit each of the six historical markers to complete fun, educational activities and collect stamps.
