Lights, cameras, and extraordinary storytelling return to historic Roosevelt Island as the Roosevelt Island Film Festival celebrates its sixth year from June 25–28, 2026, at the Main Street Theatre, located at 548 Main Street. This exciting annual event brings together talented independent filmmakers from around the world, showcasing an impressive lineup of feature films, short films, and documentaries.
Throughout the year, filmmakers submit their work for consideration, and a distinguished panel of judges carefully reviews and rate each entry across multiple categories before selecting the official selected films to be screened at the festival. Set against the unique backdrop of Roosevelt Island, the festival offers audiences a rare opportunity to discover compelling stories, celebrate cinematic creativity, and connect with filmmakers from across the globe. Join us for this exciting four-day event dedicated to celebrating and supporting independent filmmakers and the art of independent cinema.
A special thank you goes to our Kristi Hutchinson-Towey from the Main Street Theater and gratitude to our generous sponsors whose continued annual support helps make this festival possible.
