The annual Jet Ski Invasion Flotilla of the East River zoomed passed Roosevelt Island this morning. A Roosevelt Island resident Tipster reports:
… jet skis in the East River right now. Don’t they do this every year? I can’t remember.
Anyway, we saw this car-boat and thought it was funny and wanted to send it to you.
and shares these photos.
According to the NYC Jet Ski Invasion website:
The NYC Jetski Invasion was created in 2017 to give JETSKI enthusiast an Experience of a life time. New York City has many historic Landmarks, Brooklyn bridge, Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center, and The Intrepid Museum just to name a few. So What better way to enjoy the best city in the world than from your own personal water craft!
The NYC JETSKI INVASION ride was put together by a few local JETSKI clubs. The first year the ride attracted around 200 riders, fast forward to 2025 and we now expect anywhere from 600 to 800 jet-ski riders each year. As the ride progresses, each year, it gets Bigger. We are joined by The U.S Coast Guard and NYPD Harbor patrol to ensure the safety of all riders….
