Roosevelt Island was quiet and peaceful today. The 2025 Macy’s July 4 Fireworks Celebration was moved to the Brooklyn Bridge area of the East River and not visible from Roosevelt Island which greatly reduced the number of visitors here as well as removed the annual stress over getting tickets to view the Fireworks at FDR Four Freedoms Park.
