One of the real pleasures of living on Roosevelt Island is watching the East River boat traffic pass by.
East River Keeper is an Instagram Page that has been chronicling recent East River Boat traffic from a perch on Roosevelt Island. According to East River Keeper:

Sitting on Roosevelt Island like a lighthouse keeper, watching the boats float by on the East River and wondering about their stories…

Very much enjoyed your Ships in the East River segment RIC.
As you know for almost 50 years I have enjoyed spotting unusual and/or large ships from my Rivercross Terrace. With binoculars I can usually identify a name and then go on the internet to VESSELFINDER., where there is often helpful info about the ship, it’s ownership , destination and travels and , especially if it is available for sale or charter, a bevy of pictures of its rooms , nautical accessories and other amenities , like a a Helopad or (once!) two. Pics later! Ross
