The 20th annual Roosevelt Island Fall For Arts Festival will take place Saturday September 13. According to the RIVAA Gallery and Roosevelt Island Operating Corp (RIOC):
Dear Roosevelt Island Community,
RIOC and RIVAA are proud to present the 20th Annual Fall for Arts Festival this Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the Meditation Lawn.
This year’s festival celebrates the themes “Freedom of Fear” and “Freedom to Imagine” with a full day of arts and cultural programming, including live mural painting, jazz concerts, dance performances, kids’ activities, food vendors, and more:
- Live mural painting featuring local and visiting artists all day on Meditation Lawn
- MSTDA Community Drum Circle led by Brazilian artist Pena Verde (12:00 PM) on Meditation Lawn
- 2 Jazz performances, including a jazzy jamfest in Blackwell Plaza (11:15 AM – 12 PM) and the Marianne Solivan Quartet (2:45–4:15 PM) in Roosevelt Island Public Library Plaza
- Tango dance class & milonga social dance in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (3:00–5:00 PM at Blackwell Plaza)
- Family-friendly arts activities with Island Kids and the Girl Scouts of Greater New York
