We had beautiful weather yesterday for the 20th annual Roosevelt Island Fall For Arts Festival at Meditation Lawn with live mural painting, jazz jam, a drum circle and other family friendly activities. “Freedom of Fear” and Freedom to Imagine were the celebratory themes of the festivities.
Among the Fall For Arts Mural Painters were local residents Lys and Julian working on their canvas for “Lend A Hand”.
I asked them to describe their panting.
I returned to the Mediation Lawn this afternoon to see the completed murals as well as some that were still being painted. Take a look.
