Long delays at the Roosevelt Island F Train station this morning.
A Roosevelt Island resident reports:
Friday morning F train crowds on RI
After some people already waited for half an hour, the policeman just announced there are no downtown F trains and they don’t know for how long.
Another resident adds:
50 minutes delay without any announcement from MTA in the platform.
Outrageous!
The Roosevelt Island Twitterverse reports:

@MTA can’t you just make an announcement in Roosevelt island station that there is NO TRAIN stopping there?!?!?! You are wasting our time!!!Julie Liao (@liao_julie) October 27, 2017
The F train subway problems caused long lines at the Roosevelt Island Tram too.
Thanks @MTA Once again F train problems in middle of rush hour. Massive line to the @RIOCny tram…#rooseveltisland pic.twitter.com/Bq8mOupqCVFINNYRKER (@NYTTYTTYY) October 27, 2017
According to the MTA , the delays were caused by switch problems at West 4th Street.
Southbound B, C, D, E, F, G trains service changes and delays because of switch problems at W 4 St-Wash St. See https://t.co/vhZQ2kZ2vbNYCT Subway (@NYCTSubway) October 27, 2017
At least there will be Roosevelt Island F Train service to and from Manhattan this weekend – we hope.
