The 6/26 -27 Public Safety Report indicates:
Vehicle Damage – To a vehicle parked in the Motorgate Garage. PSD increased patrols of the area and NYPD refused.
Please describe what was the damage, where did it occur in Motorgate, approximate time and any other relevant information including what is the current level of patrols at Motorgate.
RIOC’s Press Spokesperson replied:
The damage — a dent — was reported at 6:35 pm. The owner noticed the dent in the morning though so it presumably occurred overnight the previous night.
An average of 24 patrols per day are made at Motorgate. They are performed anywhere between every 30 minutes and every 90 minutes, depending on staffing for the day and activity on the Island.
In other Motorgate Garage new, RIOC Directors approved a plan to install new LED lighting in the Motorgate Garage and fluorescent lighting in the stairwells during the June 28 Board Meeting. I asked RIOC when the new lighting will be in place and will update when an answer is received.
