As the holiday season arrives, husband-and-wife team John and Rachel Fox-Boehmer are celebrating their first December as the proud owners of The Bubble Room, Roosevelt Island’s family-run laundry and dry-cleaning delivery service.
Rachel has lived on the island for 11 years. As a single mom working full-time, discovering laundry delivery changed everything for her. “Every delivery felt like Christmas,” she says. “It gave me back time with my girls — time I could never replace.” That feeling became the heart behind The Bubble Room: a service built to give busy families their time back.
Today, The Bubble Room offers free same-day delivery, real-time order tracking (think Uber Eats for laundry), and now—just in time for December—monthly laundry subscriptions designed to make life easier during the busiest season of the year.
